MAC Temperature Rising haul

Hey guys! I got a black box today!
The Temperature Rising collection is the most excited I've been about a MAC collection since Archie's Girls. And I'm apparently not the only one. I placed my order as soon as I got my email, and items were already selling out. :(

This is all I got. I figured I have every eyeshadow known to man, so I skipped those, and most of the lippies too.

Hot Nights blush. I wanted the peachy coral shade even more than this, but it was long gone by the time I placed my order.

Rhythm Lipglass. I just got this because I don't have a gloss like it in my collection. It looks dark in the tube, but it applies as a sheer, bright sparkly pink. Very pretty!

And the gorgeous polishes! Scorching Haute and Tropical. I'm not a fan of MAC's polish formula, but hopefully since these are glitters they won't chip too quickly. I couldn't resist them!

That's my haul! Did you guys get anything from this collection?

My current mani - purple & blue holo

Holy holo Batman!! I couldn't take it anymore, so I slapped some holo polishes on my nails today. I just couldn't wait to try them out! The sad thing is, I've already ruined my index fingers fooling with my moms drainage tubes. Grrr! But I took pics before I jacked them up!

These are outside in sunlight. I love my nails! These are both strong holos, but the formulas are very different. The Color Club is a one coater. I used two though, because I feel incomplete just using one coat of polish. The Jade was more sheer. It took 3 coats to build up the color how I wanted it.

Here it is under the Ottlite. The holo is so strong on these, I'm so happy I got them!

These and MANY other beautiful polishes are available at Llarowe.

Thanks for stopping by!

Holo haul!!

Hey guys!! I got a box of holos from Llarowe today and thought I'd share my haul. I already had a few holos, but mostly scattered holos, not any kickass linears like these.

I literally only ordered holos this time. Hehe

My first Jade's. I've seen these on blogs and always thought they were so striking. This is Fascinio Violeta & Magia.

This is Pam's Girly Bits Hocus Pocus. It's a holo topcoat that you can put over anything. I've tried it out, and it's a good, strong holo. I'm going to try layering it over neons for summer!

Darling Diva Space Beetle. This is another holo topcoat, but it's also duochrome! It's like if Hard Candy's Beetle was holo. This is gorgeous too, I'll wear it over darker base colors. These two topcoats are totally different, so I'm glad I went ahead and got both!

Here are the topcoats over Rainbow Honey Tenda. Pam's Girly Bits Hocus Pocus is on my index finger and Darling Diva Space Beetle is on my middle finger.

Oooh!! My first Color Club holos, and they're stunning! This is Over The Moon & Miss Bliss. The holo in these looks like it's as strong as the Jade.

That's my haul! I'm thrilled with every single color. These are definitely stronger than any other holo I my collection, so I think I did good! :)

Rainbow Honey FAB Summer set (sent for review)

Hey guys! I brought my mom home from the hospital last night, both of us completely exhausted, and was so happy to find a surprise package had arrived for me for review from Rainbow Honey!

I got the FAB Summer set! I had seen Schrammi on Dee's Instagram page and immediately fell in love with it. I'm so thrilled that I got my grubby little hands on it!!

"Exclusive to Fab, the Fab Summer Set is as refreshing as a cold sip of freshly squeezed lemonade. This set of three includes a dazzling array of shimmering polishes: kelly green, deep coral, and a sparkly lacquer that glitters with holographic flecks. Paint yourself in a beautiful new light. -fab"

tenda is a bright kelly green lacquer with golden shimmer

costa del sol is a shimmery lacquer full of iridescent and holographic glitters ready to add some sun and sparkle to your manicure

schrammi is a deep coral lacquer with golden shimmer

I'm in love with Schrammi, but I went with Tenda today. Now, I'm taking care of my mom and this is a quickie job with no clean up, so please bear that in mind. I painted while she took a nap and took pics after I got her settled eating her dinner.

This is inside under my Ottlite. You can see the shimmer on my middle nail. It's subtle, but it does translate to the nail.

This is outside. It was overcast when I took these, but the sun is out now. Grrr. You can really see how bright Tenda is in these.
I used two coats of Tenda and two thin coats of Costa del Sol on my accent nails. They both applied wonderfully. Exactly what I expect from RH. No surprises here. Dee makes exceptional nail polish!

And here's Schrammi! This is inside with the Ottlite.

And Schrammi outside! Thank goodness the sun is shining today, you can see the beautiful golden shimmer! This is two coats with one coat of Costa del Sol on top. Application with Schrammi was just as good as Tenda. These polishes are so creamy!

These are available on Fab.com. I'm not sure if they'll be available on Rainbow Honey's site, but it wouldn't hurt to check.
Thanks so much for reading!

Product Review - MAC Please Me lipstick

Hi guys. This is one of my more recent MAC lipstick purchases. It's Please Me, and MAC describes it as mid-tone warm pink.

Please Me is a matte finish lipstick, not too drying, but it lasts a good while. I wore this for 4 hours with no touch-ups. It's part of the permanent range. And like all MAC lipsticks, it has that great vanilla scent! This is a very wearable color, not too neutral, and just bright enough to liven up the rest of your makeup. It's one of their best sellers, and I can see why. Almost anyone could wear this shade.

Available from MAC for $15 for .1 oz.

EOTD - exhaustion

Hey guys. It's super early for me. I've been up since 5am. Today is my moms mastectomy and I'm waiting at the hospital. So I thought I'd post yesterday's makeup while I'm sitting here.

See that dead look in my eyes kids? That's a mixture of worry and exhaustion. I even woke up with some beautiful bags under my eyes that I didn't have before. Usually I just have to deal with dark circles.

I used my tokidoki Lion Pappa palette. The peach shade in the middle of my lid is actually the blush from the palette. I love this blush! I don't have Nars Orgasm, but judging from pics, it looks like it's similar.

My mascara is MAC Plush Lash. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and I really like it. It's not a favorite, but it's good. The only complaint I have is the awkwardly fat brush. Kinda makes it hard to get the smaller and bottom lashes without hitting your skin. I'll do a proper review and post a pic soon so you guys will see what I mean. But it really makes my lashes look long!

Speaking of MAC, anyone hit up the Temperature Rising collection yet? I just placed my order. I got a blush, gloss, and both of those gorgeous polishes. I haven't used MAC polish in a couple of years because the formula is horrible, but I couldn't resist these glitters!

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs! :)

My current mani - Pause & The Element of Magic

Hey guys!! I had a super busy day today! We had two doctor appointments and some shopping at the fabulous Walmart, where my mom made me laugh so hard I snorted in a room full of people. Yay me! Lol. Somewhere in all the ruckus today I chipped my thumbnail and my beautiful red mani, so I decided to go ahead and switch it up. I was feeling purple, so I decided to go with RBL Pause.

I love deep, rich purples like this! I already have a perfect deep purple shade by mark, but it chips as soon as it dries, so this is going to be the perfect replacement! The formula on this one is thicker and isn't self-leveling like all my other RBL's, but nothing that affects the finished look of the manicure.

I paired it with Rainbow Honey The Element of Magic for my accent nails. This doesn't go on sheer, it has a light purple shimmer in the base that can alter the color of your base color. I went just a smidge too thick on my thumbnails, I wanted the RBL to shine through and I covered it up accidentally. So I'll have to remember to use a light hand next time!

Thanks for stopping by! My mom has surgery coming up Thursday. Her blood pressure has been through the roof since Friday, so I've been worried. I'll be glad when all this mess is behind us, but I guess we've got a long way to go. I won't be posting while I'm in hospital with her, but I'll be lurking on tumblr & Instagram. Thanks for reading guys!! Hugs!
